Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Direct and manage multiple quarry and asphalt distribution sites within the region
  • Oversee production schedules, quality control, and maintenance programs to ensure continuous and cost-effective operations.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including MSHA and environmental requirements.

Financial & Business Management

  • Develop and manage regional budgets, forecasts, and capital improvement plans.
  • Monitor financial performance and implement cost-saving strategies to meet profitability goals.
  • Identify and execute opportunities for growth, market expansion, and operational efficiency.

Sales & Customer Relations

  • Support the regional sales team in developing and maintaining strong relationships with key customers.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing strategies, and customer feedback to ensure competitive positioning.
  • Collaborate with the commercial team to align production with customer demand and project timelines.

Safety & Compliance

  • Champion a culture of safety, enforcing adherence to company and regulatory safety standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in safety performance across all sites.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Recruit, train, and mentor plant managers, supervisors, and other regional personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews and establish development plans, and direct reports.
  • Promote employee engagement, retention, and a strong performance-driven culture.
Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Mining,or related field (required).
  • Minimum 7-10 years of progressive leadership experience in aggregate, mining, construction materials, or related heavy industry.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple facilities or locations.

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong operational and financial acumen.
  • In-depth knowledge of aggregate production, logistics, and equipment.
  • Proven leadership, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Ability to analyze data, solve problems, and make effective decisions.
  • Proficient with ERP Systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and production management software.

Work Environment:

  • Frequent travel between regional sites (up to 50% of the time). All drivable
  • Periodic out-of-state travel for business meetings.
  • Combination of office, plant, and field enviroments.
