Civil 3D Tech II


McMillen, Inc is currently seeking a Civil 3D Team Member to join our growing team. The Civil Team helps to take our water resource projects to the next level. This civil designer will be immersed in the fast-paced water resources engineering environment, often requiring creative designs to solve complex design problems. Frequent coordination and communication with design engineers is essential to solving problems, improving processes, and completing projects on time.


The ideal candidate for this role will have a minimum of 2 years of experience preparing and developing clear, complete, and accurate drawings with Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and ACC. Qualified candidates must understand the drawing preparation and presentation requirements.


Preferred locations for these positions are Boise ID, Denver CO, Portland OR.


Responsibilities:



  • Assist on Civil projects.
  • Must have knowledge of Civil discipline.
  • Actively participate in projects by providing support through all phases of design and delivery process.
  • Must be able to remain highly organized, and produce products at a fast pace, while maintaining high quality standards.
  • Preferred candidates will have worked on water treatment plants, pump stations, fish hatcheries, and hydropower facilities or similar projects.


Qualifications:



  • 2-5 years experience preferred as a multi-discipline designer.
  • Proficient in creating and editing plan and profile, grading, corridors, and section views.
  • Knowledge and working with pipe networks a plus.
  • Able to import surface data into drawings (ie, point, dem, and lidar files).
  • Proficient with and use of drawing coordinate system.
  • Proficient with use of x-refs, data shortcuts and Sheetset Manager.
  • Proficient with BIM360 or Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC).
  • Proficient with setting up drawings for production plans.
  • Technical or vocation program completion with focus in design and drafting; AA/AS preferred.
  • Previous experience with Autodesk Vault is a plus.
  • Experience in water resources is a major plus.
  • Must have good technical writing and professional communication skills.
  • Proficiency with MS Office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Ability to collaborate productively with multidisciplinary team members on a variety of concurrent projects.


Compensation Package:



  • Pay Range: $30.87 hr. - $43.36 hr. (DOE)
