This position involves working with existing and prospective members. *ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS* *Responsible for building and maintaining relationships with member group contacts based on knowledge of plans offered, excellent customer service and escalating pertinent issues to immediate supervisor and/or RMEBS management. *Utilizes current knowledge and experience in the employee benefits area to educate and resolve issues, inquiries, claims and/or troubleshooting of all products offered through vendors and plan provisions (PPO, POS, Dental, Vision, etc.) and to escalate to other team members or Sr Manager as appropriate. *Prepare and submit underwriting materials and supporting documentation to consultants and/or Life & Health supervisors to assist in the development quote proposals to prospective members. This includes the onboarding of new member groups. *Assists and educates designated employer contacts of member cities in the administration of the GMEBS Health plan, Life products and any other ancillary products offered under the program. *Coordinates mid-year renewal preparation materials to deliver, present and assist in discussions in anticipation of changes at the member plan option level. *Provides training for group member contacts and occasionally their employees on Life & Health database or other applications associated with Life & Health. *Serves as point of contact for benefits inquiries and troubleshooting to maintain a positive work environment by researching, analyzing, identifying root cause, and resolving issues and discrepancies in a professional, timely, and courteous manner. *Presents marketing webinars or demonstrations to municipal staff or officials to explain the Life & Health program and its options and to encourage participation of their organization in the program. *Maintains a comprehensive, current knowledge and awareness of applicable laws/regulations; maintains an awareness of new trends and advances in the profession; reads professional literature; attends workshops and training sessions as appropriate. *Organizes and prioritizes workload; monitors status of work in progress; inspects completed work for accuracy. *Collaborates and supports the Life & Health team members as needed to ensure enrollments, changes or other program matters remain timely and accurate. *Skills* Human resources, Human resources administrative, Life and Health, benefits administration, benefits verification *Additional Skills & Qualifications* *Bachelor's degree in human resources, insurance/risk management, business administration or related field. *2-4 years of experience involving group employee health benefit marketing, customer service and/or administration. *Strong customer service focus and excellent oral/written communication skills. *Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively. *Microsoft Office Suite proficiency particularly Excel and Power Point *Experience Level* Expert Level *Job Type & Location* This is a Contract position based out of Atlanta, GA. *Pay and Benefits* The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $43.27/hr.
