Job Summary:

Pave America is a private equity-backed, fast-growing, and highly acquisitive facility services company. We have over 30 operating companies located in most of the major population centers in the U.S. The company has an annual revenue of ~$1 billion and has over 1,500 employees across the country.

We are a project-based business running on NetSuite accounting system with revenues based on percentage of completion methodology. We acquire approximately 10 companies each year, and every operating company has its own accounting team. In addition to the regional leadership structure, we also have a corporate headquarters based in Warrenton, VA that has an accounting and finance team led by the Corporate CFO.

Job Summary:

The Senior Director of FP&A will lead the company's financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analytical efforts. This highly visible role requires a dynamic and strategic leader to provide critical insights, drive financial discipline, and support major business decisions across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess deep financial expertise, exceptional leadership skills, and the ability to partner effectively with executive leadership to achieve financial goals and enhance profitability.

** This role is onsite at our headquarters in Warrenton, VA with some flexibility to work remotely occasionally. We will consider relocation for the right candidate.**



Essential Job Duties & Responsibilities:

    Strategic Financial Planning & Analysis: Lead the development and execution of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts, and long-range strategic plans, ensuring alignment with overall corporate objectives.
  • Business Partnership: Act as a primary strategic finance partner to department heads and executive leaders (e.g., CEO, CRO, CMO), providing financial guidance and support for operational initiatives, investment proposals, and resource allocation.
  • Financial Modeling & Reporting: Develop and maintain sophisticated financial models to support scenario analysis, "what-if" analysis, and M&A evaluations. Oversee the preparation and presentation of detailed financial reports and dashboards for senior management, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Performance Management & KPIs: Define, monitor, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) and operational metrics to track business performance, identify cost optimization opportunities, and drive improvement.
  • Process & System Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to financial planning processes, tools, and systems (e.g., ERP, cloud-based FP&A software) to increase efficiency, accuracy, and accessibility of financial data.
  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing FP&A team, fostering a culture of high performance, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Compliance & Controls: Ensure robust financial controls and compliance with accounting principles (e.g., GAAP), working closely with the Accounting and Treasury teams.


Qualifications (Experience, Education & Certifications, Key Attributes):

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field is required. An MBA or related advanced degree is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of 10-15 years of progressive experience in FP&A or related finance roles, with at least 3-5 years in a senior leadership or management position.
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills, with an ability to distill complex data into actionable insights.
  • Advanced financial modeling and forecasting skills.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the proven ability to influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Proficiency in financial software, ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite, Oracle), and business intelligence tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
  • Strong leadership capabilities with experience managing and developing teams.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
