Shift: Full Time Days (6:45a-7:15p), 3 12s/Week, every other weekend and rotating holidays Work Arrangement: On-site Facility: University Hospital - 1 Hospital Dr, Columbia, MO * Base Pay Range: $23.25 - $36.33 per hour, based on experience * Shift Differentials: o Additional $3.00 per hour for weekend shift * Retention Rewards: Up to $15,000 * Relocation Support: Additional $5,000 if moving from over 50 miles away * Retention Reward (Option 1): $2,000 per year for up to 5 years, totaling $10,000 * Student Loan Repayment (Option 2): $2,000 per year toward student loans, up to 5 years, totaling $10,000 o Note: Details will be provided during the HR interview. Policy language is available upon request. ABOUT THE JOB MU Health Care is looking for a compassionate and dedicated individual to join our nursing team in Emergency Services as an LPN. Our ER is the only Level 1 Trauma Center in central Missouri as well as a Level 1 STEMI Center for heart attacks and a Comprehensive Stroke Center, handling high acuity cases, including burns. Our ER works closely with our children's hospital critical care transport team and a helicopter service. DETAILED JOB DESCRIPTION * Interview patients to record their medical history. Measure and record patient vital signs, such as height, weight, temperature, blood pressure, pulse, or respiration. * Prepare patient for examinations, tests, or treatments and explain procedures. * Observe, chart, monitor, and report changes in patient conditions including reactions to medications and treatments. Verify that patient charts are updated promptly and accurately. * Under the direction and plan of an RN, manage patient care according to patient needs. Provide quality care to patients and work with the multi-disciplinary team to ensure the highest patient satisfaction. * Follow all safety, security, and infection control policies and procedures. Perform all tasks to ensure the safety of self, patient, and co-workers. * Maintain the standards of nursing care and departmental criteria to assure they are aligned with the MU Health Care Mission and Goals. * Participate in meetings, in-services, and quality and performance improvement groups. * Perform patient care duties and procedures following department policy, established protocol and standard of care, or as directed by the assigned RN. * May complete unit/department-specific duties as outlined in department documents. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS * Missouri Board of Nursing LPN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state LPN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state LPNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days. * LPN IV Therapy board certification. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS * Additional license/certification requirements as determined by the hiring department.
