| Job Description |
HCC is currently seeking seasonal Camp Aides for our Summer Youth Camps. Camp season begins June 22, 2026, and continues through August 14, 2026.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, implementing daily operations of camp and enforcing camp operational and safety procedures; communicating effectively with campers, camp staff, and parents/guardians; assisting camp instructors; and performing other duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Camp Aides are required to attend employee training, to be scheduled for the week of June 8th.
Employees of Harford Community College, including instructors for online and virtual courses, must be residents of Maryland or the contiguous states of Delaware, Pennsylvania, Virginia, West Virginia or the District of Columbia.
Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States, as the College does not offer Visa sponsorship for this position.

High school diploma or
GED required. |
| Required Experience |
One year of coaching, teaching, or related experience working with youth is required. |
| Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities |
- Ability to successfully pass an FBI, MD, and CJIS background screening.
- Camp Aides are required to be First Aid and CPR/AED certified - HCC offers two free classes to summer camp employees prior to the beginning of camp, dates to be determined.

| Preferred Qualifications |
One year of summer camp experience.
June 22, 2026 to August 14, 2026 availability preferred or at least 4 weeks total availability; conflicts with availability or requested leave time must be submitted at the time of hire for approval. |
| General Weekly Work Schedule |
Camp operating hours are 7:30 a.m. - 5:30 p.m.
Hours for this seasonal position range between 20 to 40 hours per week; schedules may vary. |
