What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a Licensing Analyst to oversee licensing needs for North America Sales, Service, and Delivery locations. This role focuses on ensuring registration and compliance with local, state, and federal laws, regulations, and policies across the US and Canada. The position requires a strong understanding of licensing procedures in both regions, persistence in overcoming challenges, exceptional analytical skills, and a proven ability to deliver high-quality results under tight deadlines. Building and maintaining relationships with regulatory and certification agencies, along with effective project management skills, are critical to success in this role.


What You'll Do
  • Support new markets with license applications and renewals
  • Create, execute, and update licensing procedures across relevant jurisdictions
  • Review license applications, updates, and renewals for completeness and accuracy prior to submission
  • Manage a knowledge base capturing procedures for licensing, registration, and reporting
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to address licensing for new and existing locations
  • Maintain relationships with local and state regulatory and compliance agencies
  • Identify gaps in compliance processes, recommend improvements, and develop systems to track deadlines and regulatory requirements

What You'll Bring
  • 2+ years of work experience in a licensing compliance-related field
  • Preferred experience with state-based licensing procedures and compliance programs such as CA DMV and CA BAR
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively while managing shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong diligence, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  • Effective communication skills for interacting with diverse groups
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    Expected Compensation
    $64,000 - $120,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
