Description

Stinson is seeking a part-time 1L Summer Clerk for its Los Angeles, CA and Irvine, CA offices. The Summer Clerk will assist with legal research and writing projects and provide support on matters in a variety of practice areas, under the supervision of attorneys in Stinson's Los Angeles and Irvine offices.

The Summer Clerk position is 25 hours per week, for 8 weeks during the summer of 2026. The start date and end date will be determined based on the candidate's availability.

Qualifications:



  • 1L student attending an ABA-accredited school
  • Strong academic record as an undergraduate, graduate (if applicable) and law school student
  • Effective legal writing skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills
  • Interest in areas of the law that match the firm's practice areas
  • Commitment to practicing law in the greater Los Angeles or Irvine area
  • Ability to work in both Stinson's Los Angeles and Irvine offices during Summer 2026 and travel between the offices when necessary
  • Work experience in legal setting is a plus

The salary for the part-time Summer Clerk is $2,043 per week. The length of the clerkship is anticipated to be 8 weeks, subject to change based on the candidate's availability and the firm's needs. The Summer Clerk is not eligible for benefits as this is a temporary position.
