Student Laborer - Outdoor Maintenance

WPS, a subsidiary of WEC Energy Group, is seeking a Student - Outdoor Maintenance (Student Laborer-Plant/Hydro) in our Crivitz, Wisconsin location.

This position will start in May or June, works full-time, 7:00am - 3:00pm Monday - Friday during the summer months.

Job Summary

Student Laborers perform duties (i.e. Coal & Yard, Indoor Cleaning & Maintenance, Outdoor Maintenance, etc.) as assigned by the department. Student laborers work may be performed in the power plants, hydro plants, service center, warehouse, and other field locations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Coal & Yard (e.g. mow lawns, trim weeds, paint guards, clean & organize garage/shop, etc.)
  • Indoor Cleaning & Maintenance (e.g. dusting, sweeping, painting, equipment/facility cleaning & maintenance, unloading & loading warehouse products, garbage removal, general cleaning, etc.)
  • Outdoor Maintenance (e.g. yard maintenance/planting, lawn mowing, painting, wash/dry vehicles, equipment, & facilities, basic landscaping, window washing, etc.)
  • All other laborer duties as assigned (e.g. support hydro mechanics as needed.)
Minimum Qualifications
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • High School diploma, GED, or HSED
  • Enrolled as a part-time/full-time student pursuing a technical, associate, bachelor, or master degree
  • Valid driver's license and meet the company's requirements for driving

End Date: 02/22/2026

Minimum Posting Range: $19.22

Maximum Posting Range: $21.43

The pay range reflects the minimum and maximum for the position at the time of posting and may be modified in the future. The starting salary/pay within the pay range will be based on several factors, as applicable, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, travel requirements, collective bargaining agreements, and business and organizational needs. At WEC Energy Group, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role.
