What will you do

The Johnson Controls' Accelerated Commercial Excellence (ACE) Program is an early career 18-month sales development program designed to transform recent graduates into skilled sales individuals. Over the course of the program, participants receive intensive training, hands-on experience and mentorship to build technical expertise and sales acumen, preparing them for impactful sales roles within our organization. For the first six months of the program, you will belocated in Milwaukee, WI. (Northwest suburb of Glendale WI.) During the remaining part of the program, you will be required to relocate near York PA or Waynesboro PA (commuting distance from key office hubs) as your permanent role/assignment location. You will report to the ACE Program Manager during the first 4-5 months then transition to a specific HVAC Sales Manager. This role is designed to help top talent develop sales fundamentals, inside sales support skills, customer relationship building and product expertise for Johnson Controls' cutting edge and highly visible HVAC division. Under general supervision, you will support HVAC product portfolio (Applied, Largo or Industrial Refrigeration) with commercial and sales operations, and various inside sales responsibilities. This position will help you gain valuable sales experience while providing aid to our customers and field sales team.

How will you do it

  • Provide technical, commercial, and product support to HVAC field sales personnel and customers

  • Support Regional Sales Managers (RSM) and indirect distributor accounts with product training, product selection, pricing, purchase orders, etc.

  • Provide lead management assistance from website inquiries, webinar attendees, roadshows, etc. to generate new business opportunities and promote new product introductions

  • Enable cross-collaboration between customer accounts and warranty, tech support or financing specialists as needed

  • Attend account planning cadences and contribute to team goal attainment with RSMs

  • Assist RSMs with opportunity pipeline management and account information updates in CRM tool

  • Promote customer usage for our online ordering tool (Solution Navigator) and guide customers through the platform and product portfolio

  • Prepare and lead internal product presentations (SME) to develop presentation and general soft skills and prepare for customer-facing situations

  • Attend frequent training sessions to develop HVAC product knowledge (Chillers, AHUs, Industrial Refrigeration), sales tactics and fundamentals and build confidence.

  • Travel to customer locations and visit key contacts for sales support and shadowing (approximately once or twice per quarter)

What we look for

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree minimum (Mechanical, Chemical or Electrical Engineering Degree highly preferred)

  • Recent graduate or undergraduate senior expecting to graduate between Apr 2026 - Jun 2026. Program starts in Jun 2026

  • Proficiency with Microsoft 365 programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams)

  • Must have the ability to be inMilwaukee, WI(Glendale WI) for the first six months of the program, then relocate to either York PA or Waynesboro PA areas (near our specific HVAC manufacturing and corporate locations) to transition to an established base.

  • U.S. citizen or legal right to work in the U.S.

Preferred:

  • Technical internship experience is highly preferred

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

  • Available to travel up to 20% - dependent upon your assignments
