Department Summary: The Global Marketing Department within ACS Publications is responsible for developing marketing strategies and integrated campaign plans to engage and strengthen our relationships with our target audiences. The Department's objectives for engaging our audiences are to increase the brand equity and, ultimately, enable the revenue capture for the Division's product lines of over 90 journals, eBooks, and a range of digital offerings. The current target audiences include researchers, authors, reviewers, editors, institutional/corporate librarians, and administrators, funders, ACS members, and the range of end-users. Position Summary: The Global Marketing Intern, Journals Marketing will work with Senior Marketing Managers across the Global Marketing Team, primarily supporting the ACS150 JACS Symposium Series of events. The Global Marketing Intern will learn new marketing tools, present plans and research, work collaboratively on event marketing and logistics, and learn scholarly-publishing specific marketing tactics. Education Requirements: Required Qualifications: Pay Transparency: This role is based in our Washington, D.C. office. The following are the intended hourly rates for this part time/nonexempt role: Rising Junior-$24.00; Rising Senior-$25.00; Current Grad/PhD Student- $29.00. Any actual offer of employment, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be made in the sole discretion of ACS. ACS reserves the right to amend or modify its employment benefits and compensation structure at any time. *This position will be primarily based in the Washington D.C. (or applicable) office. ACS employees work a hybrid work schedule, consisting of working onsite, two days per week. Schedule flexibility may be required for this role to support in-office activities.
