Job Summary The Tumble Operator is responsible for performing operations within the Tumble classification as assigned. This role ensures parts are processed to meet quality standards while adhering to all safety protocols and 6S (Sort, Set in order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain, and Safety) guidelines. Key Responsibilities * Operate wet and dry tumblers/barrel machines in accordance with established procedures. * Utilize hand tools such as files and other deburring tools to finish parts. * Inspect parts during production using measuring equipment to verify proper finish and dimensional accuracy. * Monitor timers on tumblers/barrels and manage batch start/stop operations. * Follow all safety procedures, including the use of required personal protective equipment (PPE). * Maintain a clean and organized work area in compliance with 6S principles. * Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards immediately to supervision. PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS * High School diploma or equivalent. * Demonstrated mechanical aptitude. * Ability to understand and follow written and verbal work instructions. PREFERRED REQUIREMENTS * Previous experience in a manufacturing environment. * Proficient in blueprint reading. * Experience with machine tools and inspection instruments such as gauge blocks, dial indicators, calipers, and micrometers. * Knowledge of shop mathematics and tolerances. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS * Ability to lift up to 40 pounds frequently. * Use of hand tools and material handling devices. * Ability to sit or stand for extended periods as required by the work area. * Ability to reach and work with arms extended This position is subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
