Job Overview:

The Supervisor is responsible for supervising staff members in the performance of their duties and assisting the PESS Director and Assistant Director in the administration of a 24 hour operation.

Qualification

Required:

• Master s degree in social work, psychology, or related clinical field required
• Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediately eligible with six months of hire required
• Three years experience in a mental health setting, preferably in crisis intervention/emergency services; and two years supervisory experience in a crisis setting

• Certified New Jersey Mental Health Screener or immediately eligible with six months of hire required

Scheduling Requirements (non-exempt positions):

• Full-Time
• Night

Essential Functions:

• Assists staff in case management functions when appropriate.
• Brings all unusual situations, incidents, or difficulties encountered in the provision of emergency services to the attention of the Director of Emergency Services or his/her designate.
• Coordinates with the Assistant Director, staff schedules in order to provide 24 hour coverage, seven days per week.
• Provides supervision and reviews client charts for accuracy and completeness and brings any discrepancies to the attention of the department management.
• Supervises and develops the implementation of treatment plans for clients based upon the team assessment.
• Supervises mobile practicum for designated screening centers,
• Supervises the triage of in-coming clients and assigns cases to staff members as appropriate.
