• Bachelor's degree in human services, special education, related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience providing training an/or teaching preferred.
• Valid California State Driver's license.
• Travel is necessary to offer support across North Bay, encompassing Napa, Sonoma, and Solano Counties.

We are seeking a Forensic Restoration Counselor, to join our team.

Starting rate of $25-$28 per hour based on experience

Merakey is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Forensic Restoration Counselor to join our Mobile Competency Restoration Team (MCRT). This position plays a critical part in supporting individuals involved in the criminal justice system as they work toward regaining legal competency to stand trial. This position delivers forensic education using a comprehensive curriculum designed to educate individuals regarding court proceedings, forensic definitions, and other forensic concepts required for an individual to successfully stand trial.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide person centered forensic education tailored to the needs of the individual as it directly relates to the individual's forensic competency needs
• Collaborate with the criminal justice system to ensure individuals receive the appropriate supports and services necessary for legal proceedings.
• Track and report progress toward competency goals, maintaining thorough records and preparing documentation as required.
