Primary Purpose Delivers accurate legal analysis and drafts standard agreements to protect organizational interests and maintain regulatory adherence. Duties and Responsibilities * Conducts legal research and analysis, staying updated on relevant laws, regulations, and precedents affecting the utility industry. * Drafts and reviews complex legal documents and discovery responses under the supervision of an attorney, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and timeliness. * Assists in the development, review, and implementation of corporate policies, procedures, and internal controls to mitigate legal and regulatory risks. * Provides legal guidance in a number of regulatory areas such as environmental, ethics, industrial safety, and employment. * Provides advice and counsel to management and project teams on legal and regulatory issues and related strategy. * Assists in the development and evaluation of draft legislation. * Drafts contracts, legal opinions, agreements, and other legal documents as needed. * Performs other duties as assigned. | |
