The Opportunity US Land Team at TC Energy has an opportunity available for a contributor who has the skills and drive to proactively support Public Awareness and Operations Services through awareness for operational and project activities across TCE's US footprint. In this exciting role, you are the liaison between multiple Business Units including Land, Communications, Regulatory Safety Compliance, Field Operations and the Damage Prevention team. What you'll do
- Monitor third-party risks, damages, and unauthorized activities for communication
- Implementing and administering public awareness policies, programs and processes
- Support operations teams to identify threat areas and assist with implementation of mitigation efforts
- Analyze and track metrics as it relates to pipeline safety toidentify trends for development of action plans
- Interface with key stakeholders and identified audiences, including presentations, planning and hosting meetings and/or training sessions
- Assist with coordination of public awareness liaison meetings
- Work collaboratively to support all Public Awareness activities, including interfacing with internal departments, vendors, stakeholders, and industry organizations
- Manage records and prepare documentation for regulatory inspections
- Work in conjunction with local, state and One Call programs to support the prevention and reduction of damages to pipeline facilities
- Act as an ambassador of TC Energy with external stakeholders with a focus on enhancing relationships with TC Energy landowners
- Monitor Public Awareness performance, identifying areas for improvement and implementing changes
- Championing and leading the development and promotion of a safe working culture
Minimum Qualifications
- University Degree or appropriate professional accreditation
- Minimum 4 years of related experience
- Experience in Public Awareness, Communications, Community Engagement, Public Relations, Regulatory Compliance and/or Emergency Management (Energy Industry -preferred)
- Proven people-leadership capabilities

- Comfortable, diplomatic, and skilled at influencing at various levels within the organization and externally
- Detailed knowledge of federal, state, legislative and regulatory requirements for Public Awareness, and the ability to apply such knowledge
- Travel within the US is required approximately 40% of the time; and as such the candidate must be able to provide applicable documentation to this effect
- Must have and maintain a valid Driver's License

- Excellent organizational skills entailing demonstrated ability for goal setting, delegation, time management, project management
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and cooperatively across an organization for issue resolution
- Refined customer service, where there is an understanding of and responsiveness to customer needs
- Experience working with strategic partners and maintaining strong relationships
- Understanding of Public Awareness/Damage Prevention procedures, and relevant legislation and regulations
- Knowledge of pipeline and facility construction, and operations best management practices
- Strong business acumen and demonstrated success contributing to strategic business results
- General understanding of applicable codes, practices, laws, and regulatory processes relevant to the energy infrastructure
- Possess an appropriate sense of urgency and attention to detail
