Job Description

The Department of Surgery at the University of Missouri is excited to announce an opening for a Nurse Clinician for our Vascular Surgery service. The primary role of this position include:

* Participate in both the inpatient and outpatient environment with the assessment planning, implementation and evaluation of nursing care for patients facing vascular conditions.

* Rounding with physician team as directed. Participating in patient and family education. Provide patient discharge education, medication management, and follow-up, including requesting follow up appointment and place orders for requested imaging. Assure discharge instructions are accurate and complete.

* Collaborating with consulting teams, or if we are consulting team, the primary team to coordinate care and provide consistent message to patient/family. Complete FMLA paperwork.

* Work closely with advanced practice clinicians to update inpatient team with clinical plans and instructions throughout the day.

* Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
Two (2) years of RN experience in an area of specialization.
Missouri Board of Nursing RN or Nurse Licensure Compact multi-state RN. When primary state of residency changes, compact state RNs must apply under new state of residency within thirty (30) days.

Anticipated Hiring Range

Salary Range: $75,275.20 - $76,960.00 annually
Grade: PAT - RN4
