Job Summary: |
Provides strategic leadership for Facilities Support operations across multiple university campuses, ensuring clean, safe, and wellmaintained learning, research, and administrative environments. Oversee performance management, coaching, and professional development for staff, fostering a culture of continuous improvement aligned with institutional goals and values. Administers multimilliondollar service contracts-including custodial services, waste removal, and recycling. Responsible for campus wide event setup and tear down, dry ice delivery, surplus inventory disposals, receiving/loading docks, and pest management-while ensuring full compliance with university policies, state and federal regulations, and environmental health and safety standards. Collaborates closely with academic units, student services, facilities management teams, and external vendors to support space transitions, capital projects, special events, and emergency response efforts. Drives operational efficiency, service quality, and resource stewardship through datainformed decisionmaking and proactive planning. Plays a key role in advancing strategic initiatives related to customer service, sustainability, and diversity, equity, and inclusion, creating an engaged, collaborative, and inclusive campus community. Key Responsibilities: * Leadership & Operational Oversight Oversees custodial and facilities operations across multiple campuses, including staff performance evaluations, coaching, and professional development, ensuring alignment with university goals and high operational standards. * Contract & Compliance Management Administers multimilliondollar service contracts-such as custodial services, waste removal, recycling, and pest management-while ensuring adherence to regulatory, safety, and environmental standards. * Coordination, Planning & Customer Service Collaborates with internal departments and external vendors to support space transitions, event setup and tear down, surplus inventory disposals and emergency responses, while driving cost efficiency, enhancing service quality, and reinforcing diversity and inclusion initiatives. |

Qualifications: |
Minimum Qualifications: * Bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, or a related field. o Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor's degree on a year for year basis. * 5 (five) or more years work experience showing progressively responsible experience in facilities management or related activities * At least three (3) years of supervisory experience is required Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire. Preferred Qualifications: * Experience in academic, health care, or public sector organization. * 3 or more years of supervisory experience in managing large-scale custodial contracts * 3 or more years experience in budgeting, procurement, and cost-saving initiatives * Experience in work order software * Experience in quality assurance / inspection software Conditions of Employment: * Must possess a current, valid Colorado Drivers License or have the ability to obtain one Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: * Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. * Considerable knowledge in facilities management activities, procurement, contractor management, and emergency response, etc. * Working knowledge of principles and practices of personnel management in areas of responsibility. * Ability to effectively manage both supervisory and technical personnel. * Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing, demonstrated proficiency in the use of computers and other electronic resources. * Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive working relationships with associates, administrative staff, faculty, and personnel internal to the university and external agencies or organizations. * Principles of custodial operations and maintenance * Contract management and vendor relations * Inventory control and procurement procedures * Environmental services and sustainability practices * Leadership and team supervision * Performance management and staff development * Budgeting and cost control * Conflict resolution and problem-solving * Coordinate large-scale custodial operations across multiple sites * Interpret and apply policies, procedures, and regulations * Develop and implement training programs * Manage emergency response efforts (e.g., snow removal) * Foster a diverse and inclusive work environment |

Anticipated Pay Range: |
The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as $85,006 - $100,000. The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position may be eligible for overtime compensation, depending on the level. Your total compensation goes beyond the number on your paycheck.
