Join Our Team as a Key Account Manager at Epiroc!

The Key Account Manager plays a critical role in developing long-term, value-driven partnerships with assigned customers. This position focuses on analyzing customer operations, identifying growth opportunities, and executing strategies that increase Epiroc's market presence and profitability across capital equipment, parts, service, and drilling tools. Strong collaboration with Business Line Managers (BLMS) and the ability to influence stakeholders at multiple levels are essential to success.

The work environment includes being regularly exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles. The employee is regularly required to lift up to 25 pounds, frequently required to lift up to 50 pounds and is occasionally required to lift up to and in excess of 100 pounds. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of the job. Personal Protection Equipment may be required in this role. The position is considered Safety Sensitive.

Work Type: Travelling to customer locations at Freeport mines, AZ & Climax mine, CO

Responsibilities:



  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of assigned customer operations, strategies, and needs to design and implement customized plans that drive market share growth and profitability.
  • Own full Profit & Loss (P&L) responsibility for assigned accounts, maintaining a strong results-oriented focus.
  • Ensure consistent global sales and service levels across accounts through innovative problem-solving, action-oriented decision-making, and effective project management of proposals and contracts.
  • Serve as the primary Epiroc representative for assigned accounts, managing all communications with confidence and a persuasive, professional presence across presentations, meetings, and day-to-day interactions.
  • Collect, analyze, and maintain accurate data on fleet usage (Epiroc and competitor), drilling parameters, and operational efficiency to inform strategic decisions demonstrating readiness to take risk and make prompt decisions in a dynamic environment.
  • Lead and facilitate regular business reviews with key account stakeholders to build rapport, providing forecasts, progress updates, market intelligence, and industry insights to internal and external partners.
  • Collaborate closely with colleagues across the Epiroc USA Customer Center to ensure alignment, knowledge sharing, and coordinated account support.
  • Supervise and mentor direct reports across the full employee lifecycle, including recruiting, onboarding, training and development, performance management and other HR metrics.



Requirements:



  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related discipline preferred; equivalent relevant experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of 10 years' experience in the U.S. mining or construction industries, with at least 5 years in direct sales or OEM dealer management roles preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of customer operations, planning, and strategic decision-making within industrial or mining environments.
  • Analytical and structured business approach, including financial acumen and the ability to interpret operational and market data.
  • Demonstrate familiarity with Epiroc USA's customer base and market landscape while maintaining a courteous, professional demeanor that builds rapport and fosters collaboration.
  • Advanced verbal, written, and presentation communication skills, with a strong customer focus and professional presence.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and working knowledge of Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems.
  • Must reside within the assigned key account territory and be able to travel approximately 60% domestically, with occasional international travel as required.
