The Opportunity The Resource Sharing Librarian oversees borrowing and lending functions of Interlibrary Loan (ILL) and Document Delivery, which includes working with Ex Libris Rapido and Springshare products; supervises two Resource Sharing technicians responsible for daily responsibilities in document delivery and interlibrary loan.
In addition to interlibrary loan and document delivery, the Resource Sharing Librarian also serves as the Hunt Library coordinator for physical course reserves and electronic course reserves utilizing Springshare E-Reserves platform and works across library departments to advise on the use and promotion of E-reserves.
The Resource Sharing librarian participates in the staffing and supervision of Access Services as needed and learns all Access Services and circulation procedures and provides back-up coverage at the Hunt Library Borrow Desk as needed.This position also participates in the planning and evaluation of services; coordinates activities within course reserves, resource sharing, and the library to ensure consistent service; creates strategies to evaluate Resource Sharing services; utilizes data collection methods to collect quantitative and qualitative data; prepares ACRL and Annual Report statistics, and other reports as needed; reviews data multiple times per year to track trends and modify services; initiates special projects and perform other duties as required; and reports to the Associate Director for Library Operations and Access Services.
