Job Summary:
Recreation & Wellbeing (Rec Well) at the University of Wisconsin-Madison is seeking a detailoriented, innovative, and energetic summer intern to support scheduling and event operations within one of the nation's premier collegiate recreation departments. This internship offers a rare opportunity to gain handson experience with a wide variety of events- from largescale campus festivals to internal trainings and recreationbased programs- while learning event production in stateoftheart facilities unlike traditional conference or hotel venues. Ideal for students pursuing a future in event management, hospitality, or recreation, this role provides robust professional development, leadership experience, and portfolioready project work. The Scheduling & Events Summer Professional Intern plays a key role in supporting Rec Well's event operations, scheduling processes, and major summer/fall programming. This position offers immersive, full life cycle event experience, from intake and planning to logistics coordination, to onsite execution and evaluation. The intern will assist in major initiatives including:
Scheduling and Events Compensation:$22.50/Hour Required Qualifications:
Work Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM. Times will vary by day and there is flexibility. This position will work from June-September 2026 and average 25-30 per week. Summer Professional Internship Information:
