1. Serves as a residential counselor for assigned clients using recovery-oriented principles. 2. Assists with client admissions and intake, including documentation, orienting to program, inventory, and contraband searches in accordance with program policy 3. Implements and documents treatment plans and interventions in accordance with program policy and funder requirements. 4. Supports clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including hygiene, budgeting, transportation, and relapse prevention. 5. Facilitates healthy menu planning, food shopping, and meal preparation. 6. In accordance with program model of medication administration and observation, monitors and documents medication usage, assists with refills and appointments, observes client behavior and alerts medical staff of concerns quickly, and maintains accurate documentation. 7. Maintains residence cleanliness and safety through daily chores and supervision. 8. Provides crisis intervention with clients as needed. 9. Provides behavioral coaching, support, and intervention as needed. Verbally engages with clients in a professional and supportive manner. 10. Leads skill development, psychoeducational, and therapeutic groups. 11. Maintains compliance with regulatory, licensing, agency, and industry training requirements. Completes renewal certifications prior to expiration. This includes, but is not limited to, any program specific requirements and certifications such as MAP, CPR, CPI. 12. Notifies supervisor of program deficiencies and reviews documentation for accuracy. 13. Answers phones and email professionally and documents relevant information. 14. Monitors client location and condition per program regulations. 15. Coordinates and facilitates recreational activities. 16. Mediates conflicts among clients. 17. Maintains client record. 18. Attends and participates in all required program meetings including (but not limited to) regular supervision and staff meetings. Position Qualifications: Preferred: Experience/Skills: Preferred: Unless certification, licensure or registration is required, an equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed in this description may be substituted for the above requirements. Department-specific competencies and their measurements will be developed and maintained in the individual departments. The competencies will be maintained and attached to the departmental job description. Responsible managers will review competencies with position incumbents. III.
