Description

Acara Solution is looking for an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer for our client located in Colorado Springs, CO.

Here's what you'd do:

  • Design and develop electrical hardware schematics and layouts for complex digital systems
  • Implement FPGA-based designs with high-speed memory interfaces, including DDR3, DDR4, and LPDDR4
  • Integrate and support digital interfaces such as I2C, SPI, and SDIO
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to support hardware development and testing
Job Requirements

Required skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Science or Engineering or Technology or Mathematics with 5 years of experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in designing PCBs/PWBs using Siemens expedition or similar tools.

Preferred skills:

  • Master's Degree with 3 years of experience.
  • An understanding of the hardware development process throughout the lifecycle of a program, including design for manufacturing and design for test.
  • Knowledge of Siemens expedition or similar tools for schematic entry, constraint definition, and signal integrity/power integrity analysis.
  • Experience designing PCBs/PWBs, including using advanced materials, packaging techniques, and high-speed interfaces.
  • Problem-solving and critical thinking skills, breaking down complex technical problems logically and finding efficient solutions.
  • Cross-disciplinary communication skills, working effectively with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
  • Team collaboration, offering and receiving feedback constructively, and mentoring junior engineers when needed.
  • schematic capture and layout design of digital subsystems and components, use of lab test equipment including multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other test equipment.
