Purpose:

The Customer Engagement Partner occupies a pivotal role at the intersection of technical excellence, strategic delivery, and customer-centric leadership. This position is responsible for spearheading growth by identifying and connecting internal capabilities to solve customers' most complex technical challenges and sponsoring project delivery excellence. With a deep understanding of both the Consulting landscape and Worley's extensive expertise, the Customer
Engagement Partner forges new relationships, sustains existing partnerships,
and shapes strategic growth for enduring impact.

This is a full-time hybrid position based at a Worley office in the United States: Houston, Texas. Other locations across the US and Canada will be considered.

Overall Responsibilities and Key Accountabilities

Customer Engagement & Practice Growth

  • Practice Leadership: Leads the growth for the assigned customer portfolio and sector focus, in alignment with the global practice strategy.
  • Brand Advocacy: Champions Worley's brand in the marketplace,leveraging internal capabilities to win new business and reinforce the company's reputation.
  • P&L Expansion: Accountable for revenue and GM growth within the assigned customer portfolio; P&L ownership sits with [BU / Regional lead]

Technical Expertise & Capability Alignment

  • Capability Identification: Proactively identifies, accesses, and mobilizes the breadth of technical expertise within Worley to resolve multifaceted customer challenges.
  • Relationship Building: Builds strong, collaborative relationships across all levels and disciplines within Worley, acting as a connector between disparate teams and fostering a culture of shared knowledge and mutual support.
  • Capability Mapping: Develops a deep understanding of Worley's technical capabilities and able to navigate and translate these capabilities into customer solutions, whilst staying abreast of emerging technologies, trends, and methodologies.

Delivery Leadership

  • Project Oversight: Oversees the delivery of projects as executive sponsor responsible for stakeholder alignment, collaborating with operational leadership and technical experts to leverage the skills of multidisciplinary teams, and ensure quality outcomes within time and budget constraints.
  • Strategic Collaboration: Partners with other Consulting leaders to address major business issues, ensuring a unified approach to problem-solving
    and customer engagement.
  • Workforce Planning: Recognizes market trends and capability requirements, collaborating with P&L leadership to proactively plan workforce needs and skill development initiatives.

Strategic Input & Business Development

  • Proposal Leadership: Leads the communication and presentation of complex technical proposals, ensuring clarity, persuasion, and strategic alignment with customer objectives.
  • Growth Strategy Design: Co-develops growth strategies with the P&L leader and leads the execution in the assigned customer portfolio.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Shares actionable customer insights with fellow Consulting leaders, contributing to the development and refinement of core account strategies and solutions.

What you will bring

Technical and Industry Experience

  • 10+ years of experience in consulting, engineering, or technical project delivery, with a significant portion in customer-facing or business development roles.
  • Proven record of successfully winning new business and expanding customer relationships in a competitive market.
  • Demonstrated success in leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
  • Strong commercial understanding, with prior experience in delivery of consulting projects, practice growth, and strategic account leadership.
  • Exposure to workforce planning and capability development within a consulting or technical environment.
  • Willing to travel ~40-50% as required.

  • Technical Acumen: Deep expertise in engineering, consulting, or a related technical field, with the ability to assess complex problems and identify innovative solutions.

  • Leadership: Strong leadership presence and the ability to inspire and motivate cross-functional teams towards common objectives.
  • Delivery: Prior experience in successful delivery of consulting projects.
  • Commercial Savvy: A results-oriented mindset with experience in growing practice areas and driving profitability.
  • Communication: Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, including experience presenting to senior customer executives and crafting compelling proposals.
  • Adaptability: Ability to thrive in a dynamic environment, managing multiple priorities and navigating ambiguity with resilience and creativity.

Education - Qualifications, Accreditation, Training
Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field; Master's degree or MBA preferred.
