Ampcus Inc. is a certified global provider of a broad range of Technology and Business consulting services. We are in search of a highly motivated candidate to join our talented Team. Job Title: Domain Architect. Location: Plano, TX. Roles and responsibilities include:
  • Hands-On Solution Design & Implementation (60-70%), remaining would be Leadership and governance of projects.
  • Deep expertise as an engineering leader with experience in designing and implementing modern distributed applications following principles, methodologies, and patterns such as domain-driven design, 12 factor application framework, API & microservices design patterns, and event-driven architectures.
  • Demonstratable experience in developing and maintaining domain-level technology strategy, target state, and roadmaps that align with domain business strategy and technology direction.
  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of the business architecture function and business capability-based planning. Experience developing artefacts such as organization model, business capability model, capability maturity assessment, capability-technology support gap analysis, etc.
  • Skilled and experienced in architecting and designing resilient, performant, secure, and scalable solutions to enable large business enterprises. Deep understanding of solution NFRs and trade-off analysis.
Context about the Domain:
  • This individual will be supporting Treasure payments, developing architecture for payment solutions, and managing the business, budgets, stakeholder conversations, and a team of architects. Code reviews will also be a part of the responsibilities.
  • The Director, Domain Architecture Owner, is a pivotal role responsible for all architecture and design decisions within a specific domain.
  • This individual contributor position requires collaboration with stakeholders to create technology strategies that align with the company's digital transformation goals. The role emphasizes technical leadership, mentorship, and the development of scalable, cloud-native solutions while ensuring adherence to architectural standards.
What you'll be doing:
  • Be part of the Domain leadership team to create technology strategy and influence technology direction.
  • Responsible and accountable for all architecture functions within the domain.
  • Collaborate with other stakeholders and architects to drive consensus.
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining Business Capability map for the domain.
  • Create and maintain Technology Strategy, current and target State architectures for the domain.
  • Be hands-on in driving various system design discussions.
  • Participate in all Cross-domain architecture routines.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices and high standards.
  • Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends and incorporate them into the architectural roadmap.
  • Other activities as assigned by the Domain Architecture Leader.
Requirements:
  • Proven 5 years of relevant/progressive work experience in Enterprise Architecture practices and governance with a Four-Year College Degree (BA or BS). At least 15 years.
  • Demonstratable experience in developing and maintaining domain-level technology strategy, target state, and roadmaps that align with domain business strategy and technology direction.
  • Deep understanding and working knowledge of the business architecture function and business capability-based planning. Experience developing artefacts such as organization model, business capability model, capability maturity assessment, capability-technology support gap analysis, etc.
  • Skilled and experienced in architecting and designing resilient, performant, secure, and scalable solutions to enable large business enterprises. Deep understanding of solution NFRs and trade-off analysis.
  • Deep expertise as an engineering leader with experience in designing and implementing modern distributed applications following principles, methodologies, and patterns such as domain-driven design, 12 factor application framework, API & microservices design patterns, and event-driven architectures.
  • Proven track record of delivering scalable cloud-native solutions addressing cross-cutting concerns like logging, application testing, and application security and instrumentation.
  • Proficiency in multiple programming languages (e.g., Java, C#, Python), cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure), and architectural frameworks.
  • Has a passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, mentoring other members of the engineering community, and from time to time, be asked to code or evaluate code.
  • Possess strong leadership, excellent oral and written communication skills, and a proven ability to present and discuss technical, functional, and managerial information clearly and concisely to various stakeholders from Business Executives to Developers.
Nice to have:
  • 8 years of progressive work experience in Enterprise Architecture practices and governance.
  • Financial Services Industry experience, especially with sales-finance or captive-finance companies.
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., TOGAF, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Azure, etc.).
  • Experience with migrating or transforming legacy solutions to the cloud.
  • Experience with implementing Treasury, Accounting, Finance, and Payment's solutions.
