What to Expect
The Lead Training Coordinator role is part of a larger Training team supporting and influencing the Tesla culture and development of Training Instructors and Coordinators at Megafactory Lathrop by ensuring the team is set up for success to facilitate new hire onboarding tasks through Megafactory's training program, to execute on their training department goals, and to provide support to the factory's ongoing training needs. A successful candidate will be knowledgeable, approachable, outgoing and exudes the Tesla mission in all facets. Our ideal lead embodies the Tesla culture and the individualistic approach to initial manufacturing onboarding and training for a diverse group of talented individuals while maintaining communication with production leadership and engineering teams to provide the best training in the world.
What You'll Do
- Lead a group of talented instructors and coordinators per respective shop and communicate with production leaders to ensure training efforts are aligned with business need
- Develops and facilitates training and development, learning initiatives, and training recommendations for specific disciplines. Ensures parts, tools and content for training is available and practical for effective training
- Able to understand and relay knowledge of updated processes and documentation content to maintain up to date content for effective training through Training Dojos. Accountable for Dojo training procedure/syllabus adherence. Work with content development team to maintain Dojo resource SharePoint page content (External/Internal)
- In-depth knowledge of Tesla systems such as MOS (Manufacturing Operating System), FLUX, Versatility chart, station controller transactions in accordance with operation policies to train instructors to keep up with updates and procedures. Subject matter expert in Business unit specific training content to be versatile per shop
- Learn new process skills from engineering and shop process owners, keeping up to date with the latest revisions of process operations, and area cross-training to train instructors on proper techniques.Escalates immediate concerns with production associate misconduct of policy through the escalation path
- Liaison/support for shop specific career development programs to ensure engagement from production associates. Liaison between production leadership and external education programs. Participates in providing internal and external professional development opportunities throughout the training team
- Participate and lead in the implementation of the Learning Management System (LMS) to track training, assign training, coordinator training, and create training reports
What You'll Bring
- 2+ years of Production experience with 2+ years of training or lead role (preferred)
- Understanding of production process and methodology. Strong verbal and writtencommunication skills, including solid interpersonal skills
- Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies
- Demonstrates personal leadership and accountability
- Understanding in adult learning principles, instructional design, or education. Subject matterexpertise of technical and energy subjects is expected
- Experience in providing classroom training
- Experience in using a Learning Management System (LMS) and ADDIE model of contentdevelopment. Proficient in MS Office software (Word, Excel, Power Point)
Essential Physical Demands:
- Standing/walking on the production floor for up to 8 hours. Walking up and down stairs betweenfloors to conduct lineside and classroom-based training
- Able to carry up to 20 pounds (company laptop to conduct daily tasks while on the productionfloor, parts, tools and equipment)
- Ability to perform repetitious duties, including stairs and standing for long periods of time
- Frequently and repetitively, lift, push and carry up to 50lbs. Frequently and repetitively, bend, liftand reach
- Stoop, lay, bend, reach, squat, kneel, crouch, twist, and crawl for extended periods of time.
- Potential exposure to confined spaces and hazardous materials
- Wearing Personal Protective Equipment, including but not limited to: safety glasses, safetyshoes, bump caps, and adhering to prescribed safety rules and guidelines

Expected Compensation
$40.09 - $49.00/hour + cash and stock awards + benefits
Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered.
