Position Title: Buyer
Wage: Based on Experience Location: Richfield, WI The Industrial Buyer is responsible for developing and maintaining a supplier base that supports company objectives related to quality, cost, delivery, and production requirements. This role operates in accordance with company policies and procedures and plays a key role in supporting flexible manufacturing schedules. Buyer Responsibilities: - Manage purchase orders based on inventory levels and production demand using a fully integrated ERP system - Run and analyze ERP status reports to ensure adequate material availability for projected production needs - Review and process purchase requisitions, ensuring the procurement of high-quality components at the most cost-effective pricing - Manage and evaluate supplier performance to meet cost, quality, and delivery objectives - Source new suppliers and conduct vendor qualification activities - Establish and maintain purchasing department practices and procedures - Ensure accurate maintenance and organization of all purchasing documentation - Negotiate, audit, and manage freight terms and associated costs Qualifications for Buyer: - Degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience) - At least three years of purchasing experience within a custom equipment manufacturing environment - Experience supporting flexible production scheduling - Proficient with ERP/MRP systems, preferably Epicor 10 - Strong computer skills including Excel, Word, and Outlook - Excellent written and verbal communication skills - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities - Highly organized, self-motivated, and able to work independently - Positive attitude with a collaborative, team-oriented approach | |
