  • The Client is seeking a highly motivated and experienced technology professional for the Operational Technology team.
  • The selected person shall be responsible for installation patching, maintaining and supporting various software tools/systems used by departments such as Facility and Law Enforcement.
  • The desired candidate should have prior knowledge of systems, such as Electronic Security Systems (ESS), Video Surveillance Systems (VSS) and Building Automation system (Client).
  • The candidate shall be proficient in Windows Administration Scripting, SQL Server Administration, Windows Server administration and maintaining windows desktops.
  • Highly preferred is a candidate who has had experience working with an independent Federal Agency, thorough knowledge of FISMA, Active Directory, Microsoft Windows Server, desktop operating system, PowerShell scripts and networking.
  • A successful candidate will interface with internal customers of varying technical ability and other technical support teams to resolve a wide range of technical issues.
  • The candidate must demonstrate ability to follow standard operating procedures and processes and assist the team in automating processes where possible.
  • The candidate must have experience managing support efforts using a ticketing system such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
  • The candidate may be called upon to provide occasional after-hours maintenance support overnights and weekends.
Requirements:

The candidate shall possess the knowledge and skills set forth in the Technical Services Client, Section 3.15.2.2 for a Senior System Administrator and demonstrate the following production support capabilities:
  • Physical security system and building automation support to meet service level agreements.
  • Information systems and applications used in the facility services, law enforcement, and emergency management and preparedness industries.
  • Analyze system performance and recommend improvements.
  • Resolve complex system issues for commercial applications, operating systems and networks, and triage customer support calls for Tier 2 / Tier 3 escalation service.
  • Troubleshoot system performance issues, implement corrective actions.
  • Perform server maintenance activities both hardware and software-related, including installations, network configurations, error log reviews, patches, integrity checks, system setups, etc.
Relevant Experience:
  • Must have 10 years of experience administering Windows Servers in an enterprise (government-preferred) environment, with an understanding and ability to work within the environmental constraints related to the agency.
  • Experience with Windows administration scripting and/or programming.
  • Experience with Physical Access Control Systems/Electronic Security Systems and Building Automation Systems.
  • Strong working knowledge with enterprise technologies, to include the following:
    • Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM).
    • Windows Server Update Services (WSUS).
    • Simple Network Management Protocol (SNMP).
    • Active Directory (AD).
    • Windows Firewall.
    • MS SQL.
    • PKI.
  • Must have working knowledge of Windows 2016, 2019 and 2025 Server.
  • Must have 5 years of experience creating and maintaining technical documentation.
  • Must have 5 years with systems that use high availability architecture.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders and project teams, assist with security requirements and design, determine deliverables, maintain issues logs, and provide project documentation, with minimal supervision.
  • Strong working knowledge of information security management, specifically the Federal Information Security Management Act (FISMA) and relevant standards from the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST).
  • Demonstrated ability to learn complex Commercial Off-The-Shelf Software (COTS).
