Job Overview

Provides the resource to assist in setting strategies for the demand planning and forecasting system needed to support the Materials department at Komatsu in Ripley, TN. Understands thoroughly the parts planning system (Servigistics) architecture and capabilities, as well as all parameter setting options. Support in enhancements and software updates without loss of service or data integrity. Support with the development and execution of plans that will optimize inventory levels while achieving product availability targets. Runs system data quality tests and raises/follow-ups on the Servigistics support team. Support the preparation and delivery of process and system end user training as needed. Supports with system documentation-configuration parameter settings. This role works cross-functionally with procurement, logistics, planning, and operations team to identify opportunities, mitigate risks, and enhance overall supply chain performance.

Key Job Responsibilities

  • Support the implementation of initiatives to meet inventory and product availability performance targets across Mining, Construction, Forestry, and Forklift business units. 20%
  • Support the management of the parts planning system: Servigistics, in all aspects: parameter changes, simulations, report generation, provider (PTC) interface and daily maintenance.20%
  • Support in the training and on-going support to planners to ensure optimal utilization of the system. 20%
  • Coordinate and prepare periodic analysis, reports that track performance to goal or provide information for action regarding, inventory, availability, backorder aging or any other materials responsibility. 20%
  • Supports the Systems Manager with enhancements and updates. Run system data quality tests. Raise and follow up on tickets with Servigistics support team.10%
  • Assist in developing and monitoring metrics that gauge planner efficiency. Provide daily/weekly/monthly reports which support the metrics. 5%
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Manager. 5%

Qualifications/Requirements


  • Required Skills



    • Minimum 2 years' experience in Parts Operations, Logistics, Manufacturing, Distribution, or Materials Management - experience managing inventory control and DRP systems
    • Analytical skills a must, including aptitude for various software systems, Access, Tableau, SQL, etc. Strong skills using database systems and creating complex queries



    Preferred Skills



    • Bachelor of Science degree in Materials, Statistics, Business Administration, or Operations or equivalent experience- MBA a plus
    • Professional PC skills and working knowledge of operating systems and manufacturing processes, Proficient use of Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point, are required. Professional written and oral communication skills appropriate to all levels of the organization.

Hiring Range

At Komatsu, your base pay is one part of your total compensation package. The starting rate for this role is 66,600. The actual offer will consider a wide range of factors, including experience and location.
