Employment Type: Part-time Contract to Hire Location: Hospital-based in Bel Air, Maryland About the Role You'll support patient care by placing meal orders, assembling and verifying trays according to MyDining tickets and diet orders, delivering meals to patient floors, and returning used trays to the dish room. You'll also maintain pantry stock and provide excellent service to patients, nurses, visitors, and unit staff. Shift Requirements (Must Read) * 4 shifts per week: 2:30 PM - 7:00 PM * 1 shift per week: 6:30 AM - 2:00 PM * Flexibility Required: Must be willing and able to work both AM and PM shifts as needed. * Weekend Requirement: Must be available to work every other weekend. What You'll Do * Take patient meal orders and provide menus. * Deliver trays within required time frames. * Pick up dirty trays and return them to the dish room. * Maintain floor pantry supplies and ensure proper rotation. * Navigate hospital units efficiently for timely delivery and pickup. * Provide excellent communication and customer service to patients and staff. * Maintain clean, organized carts, pantries, and work areas. Minimum Qualifications * Prior food service or retail experience preferred. * Up to 2 months of training provided. * Ability to work in a fast-paced environment under time constraints. * Ability to read, understand, and follow written and verbal instructions in English. * Basic math skills. * Strong communication skills with patients and hospital staff. * Ability to move throughout the hospital efficiently. Ideal Candidate Traits * Friendly and patient-focused. * Detail-oriented with strong accuracy in tray assembly. * Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently. * Comfortable interacting with patients of all ages and conditions. Physical Requirements * Frequent standing, walking, bending. * Pushing/pulling meal delivery carts. * Moving between hospital floors during each shift.
