Job Description:

The Data Center Solutions (DCS) Marketing team supports Microchip's PCIe, SAS, and Memory product lines, delivering solutions for hyperscale and enterprise data center markets. This summer internship is based in Roseville, California, and focuses on applying AI tools to market research, competitive analysis, and product documentation to improve productivity and business insight. The role provides hands-on exposure to data center compute and storage technologies and market analysis. The intern will report to the DCS PCIe Marketing team lead and support additional team leads across SAS Solutions and Memory.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain AI-enabled market research tools, including competitive analysis and market model development.

• Build and update market models for SAS, PCIe, and Memory product lines, including TAM/SAM/SOM analysis.

• Conduct competitive and end-market research focused on hyperscale customers and data center ecosystem providers.

• Review internal business metrics and processes to identify opportunities for productivity improvements using AI.

• Support development of product documentation, presentations, and marketing collateral utilizing AI tools.

• Manage and maintain a log of business unit demonstration boards used for customer engagements and trade shows.

Requirements/Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing or in the process of obtaining a degree in Marketing or related field.

• Strong interest in data center compute, storage technologies, and semiconductor markets.

• Familiarity with TAM/SAM/SOM models and standard market and business research methodologies.

• Experience with or strong interest in using AI tools for research, analysis, and content development.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools, including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to understand and communicate technical concepts.

• Demonstrated critical thinking, problem-solving, and attention to detail.

• Ability to organize, prioritize, and manage multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment.

• Self-motivated team player with strong interpersonal skills and alignment with Microchip company values.

• Ability to work onsite in the summer (Monday - Friday)
