The Opportunity

The Chief of Staff to the Executive Vice President - Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) is a critical strategic and operational partner, ensuring the CMO's office functions with focus, efficiency, and impact. Together with the Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Operations, this role will help translate the CMO's vision into actionable priorities, coordinate across the global marketing organization, and ensure the effective execution of key initiatives. The Chief of Staff will manage cross-functional alignment, oversee the operating rhythm of the marketing leadership team, and serve as the central point of coordination for strategic priorities, including the definition and tracking of OKRs (Objectives and Key Results).

This role reports to the Vice President of Strategy, Planning & Operations and works closely with senior leaders across the business to drive performance, accountability, and organizational effectiveness.

What you will do:

Strategic & Operational Leadership

  • Act as a trusted advisor to the CMO by enabling the translation of GMO's Vision into clear, actionable plans.

  • Drive alignment and accountability across the global marketing leadership team to ensure focus on the highest-impact initiatives.

  • Partner with the Strategy, Planning & Operations team to optimize marketing's annual planning process, ensuring tight linkage to business priorities.

OKR Management & Performance Tracking

  • Support the coordination, development, and tracking of OKRs for the CMO and the global marketing organization.

  • Support quarterly OKR reviews, ensuring transparency of progress, risks, and dependencies.

  • Provide insights and recommendations based on performance data to support informed decision-making.

Organizational Effectiveness & Communication

  • Together with the VP of Strategy, Operations & Planning and working in conjunction with HR, support the operating rhythm of the CMO's office, including leadership team meetings, offsites, and key strategic forums.

  • Support clarity of priorities and outcomes for internal and external communications on behalf of the CMO.

  • Coordinate briefing materials, agendas, and follow-ups to ensure leadership engagement is efficient and outcomes-driven.

Cross-Functional Alignment & Stakeholder Management

  • Partner with senior leaders across marketing, sales, product, finance, HR and other business functions to ensure strategic alignment and operational coordination when needed.

  • Together with the VP of Strategy, Operations & Planning, serve as the connective tissue between the CMO, their direct reports, and the broader organization, ensuring consistency of priorities and streamlined decision-making.

  • Anticipate organizational needs and proactively remove barriers to execution.

Special Projects & Strategic Initiatives

  • Manage and execute special projects that require high-level coordination, discretion, and speed.

  • Support the CMO in preparing for external engagements, executive reviews, board-level interactions, and key industry events partnering with CoEs as needed (E.g Communications team).

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives that enhance marketing's impact, scale, and agility.

What you will bring:

  • 10+ years of relevant experience in strategy, operations, consulting, or a senior program management role within a complex global organization.

  • Proven track record of driving operational excellence, strategic alignment, and measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of marketing organizations, functions, and performance levers.

  • Exceptional communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Highly organized, with the ability to manage multiple priorities, anticipate challenges, and drive resolution.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; comfortable interpreting data to drive insights and actions.

  • Demonstrated ability to influence without direct authority and to build trusted relationships across senior stakeholders.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this positionis $167,000 -- $350,950 annually. Paywithin this range varies by work locationand may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills,and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $225,700 - $350,950

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
