Job Description




As a Security Officer - Unarmed Weekday Driver Patrol in Malvern, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. As an armed patrol officer at a financial institution location, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, stay visible to help deter security-related incidents, and respond to reports with clear communication and strong customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license per AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a financial services location.
  • Carry and maintain authorized duty weapon and related equipment in accordance with Allied Universal policies, applicable licensing requirements, and/or local regulations, and use sound judgment to help de-escalate situations.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including alarms, disturbances, and/or suspicious activity, and coordinate with on-site staff and responding public services as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout the facility, parking areas, and building perimeter to help identify unusual conditions, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, with working conditions varying by post.
  • Complete detailed shift documentation including patrol logs, incident reports, and/or access control records, and communicate pertinent information during post and shift transitions.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Have a minimum of 2 years of law enforcement, military police, and/or corrections experience.
  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Hold an Act 235 Qualification if the job is located in Pennsylvania only.
  • An armed guard card and/or license is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
