Join Allied Universal as an Armed Patrol Officer at a government transportation location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay visible to help to deter security-related incidents. You will respond to concerns, document observations, and communicate clearly with staff and visitors while delivering customer service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and contractors at a government transportation location by following security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed, vehicle, and/or foot patrols at regular and random intervals throughout facilities, parking areas, and perimeter routes to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify hazards or policy violations.
  • Control access at gates, entrances, and restricted areas by verifying identification, authorizations, and deliveries, and directing traffic flow as assigned.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including de-escalation, coordinating with site contacts and public law enforcement, and providing initial incident information.
  • Complete detailed patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation, and communicate relevant observations and/or concerns to Allied Universal management and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 21 years of age.
  • Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
