Security Officer - Main Entrance Control

As a Security Officer - Main Entrance Control in Richland, MS, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. As an Allied Universal Officer supporting a fast-moving logistics and distribution location, you will help manage access control and visitor flow, verify credentials, and maintain accurate badge and entry logs. You will remain visible throughout key checkpoints, communicate clearly with team members and drivers, and respond to security-related concerns with professionalism. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients at a logistics and distribution location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Control access at entry and exit points by checking identification, verifying authorization, and directing visitors, contractors, and drivers to the proper check-in process.
• Coordinate vehicle and freight traffic flow by monitoring gates, documenting arrivals and departures, and communicating with site contacts regarding access issues and/or schedule changes.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including initiating notifications and completing required security-related reports.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the facility, yard, and perimeter, monitoring for unusual activity, unsecured doors or gates, and/or hazards, with working conditions varying by location.

Minimum Requirements:

• Have at least 1+ years of security-related experience.
• Be able to lift more than 20 lbs, preferred.
• Have access control and/or badge experience, preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
