Job Description




As a Security Officer - Flex Armed Patrol Driver in Auburndale, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. In this primarily driving post, you will conduct mobile patrols, perform visible presence checks, and respond to security-related calls with calm, professional communication. You will document observations, assist staff and visitors with directions and information, and help to deter incidents through consistent patrol activity. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to personnel and visitors at a government location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Conduct armed foot and/or vehicle patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter areas on a regular and random basis to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or identify unusual conditions.
  • Monitor access points and controlled areas, verify identification and/or authorization as required, and assist with screening procedures in accordance with post orders.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site representatives and public agencies as directed.
  • Document observations, patrols, and incidents in written reports and logs, and communicate security-related concerns promptly to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts.

Minimum Requirements:

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Have 1+ Years' Armed Security/Law Enforcement/Military Experience.
  • Armed Guard Card/License is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
