Job Description




As a Security Officer - Residential Patrol in Cincinnati, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer in a healthcare location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, conduct routine rounds, and stay highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will communicate clearly with staff, patients, and visitors, document observations, and respond to needs with calm, customer-focused service. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service to patients, visitors, and/or staff by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related protocols, and by assisting with emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications to site leadership and/or local responders as directed.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout hospital and/or clinic areas, including lobbies, corridors, parking areas, and perimeter points, observing and reporting unusual activity or conditions.
  • Monitor entry and exit points and public areas, help to deter unauthorized access, and maintain a visible presence while supporting orderly movement of visitors and/or deliveries.
  • Complete patrol logs and incident reports, document observed conditions, and communicate updates to Allied Universal supervision and site contacts according to post orders.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
