As a Security Officer - X-Ray Portal Screener in Indianapolis, IN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as a Screener at a fast-paced logistics distribution location, where you will support security-related screening operations and help maintain a smooth, organized flow of people and packages. You will conduct routine checks, stay highly visible to help to deter incidents, and provide clear, professional communication and customer service. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Screen employees, visitors, and vendors for authorized access by checking identification, verifying appointments and/or manifests, and directing individuals to the appropriate entry points.
• Conduct entry screening of personnel and belongings as required by post orders, including use of screening equipment and conducting visual inspections when needed.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating to site leadership and/or emergency services as required.
• Complete shift documentation and incident reports, communicate unusual activity to the appropriate contacts, and support investigations by preserving observations and relevant details.

Minimum Requirements:

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Ability to lift more than 20 lbs is preferred.
• Loss prevention experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
