Job Description




As a Armed Security Officer - Healthcare Site in Memphis, TN, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Healthcare, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer in a busy healthcare location, you will conduct routine patrols and remain highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents, support staff and visitors, and respond to alarms and service calls with calm, clear communication. What You'll Do:

  • Provide customer service within a healthcare location by following Allied Universal procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities while performing armed post duties in accordance with licensing and training requirements.
  • Respond to incidents, medical facility disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; use verbal de-escalation techniques and request additional support from staff and/or public responders as needed.
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols of hospital interiors, entrances, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
  • Control access to restricted areas by verifying credentials, managing visitor check-in directions, and monitoring alarm panels and/or video surveillance systems in accordance with site procedures.
  • Complete detailed incident reports, shift logs, and equipment checks, including weapon and post equipment inspections, and communicate security-related information to hospital staff and Allied Universal leadership.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Possess an armed guard card/license.
  • Be at least 21+ years of age.
  • Handcuffs/pepper spray/baton is preferred.
  • CPR/First Aid is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
