Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds

As a Security Officer - Driver Patrol Rounds in Philadelphia, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Education, and more. As an unarmed patrol officer at a higher education location, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help to deter security-related incidents, respond to alarms and/or access control activity, and document observations. You will communicate with campus partners and deliver standout customer service. This is a driving post requiring a valid driver's license under AU Driver Policy Requirements. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to students, staff, faculty, and/or visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random foot patrols throughout campus buildings, common areas, and perimeter areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, contacting campus resources and/or public responders as needed.
• Monitor access points and interior spaces for unusual activity, help to deter unauthorized entry, and provide directions and assistance as needed.
• Complete patrol logs, incident reports, and shift documentation in accordance with site requirements and Allied Universal guidelines.

Minimum Requirements:

• A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
