Printpack, a leading manufacturer of flexible packaging products, is seeking a qualified leader of the Supply Chain Planning function, with ownership of PPK US's Sales and Operations Planning process and ongoing management of the business' supply-demand position. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will lead a team of Supply Demand Analysts, together responsible for managing and driving action around PPK US's long-term customer demand and growth forecasts, plant- and process-level capacity and utilization forecasts, and business continuity planning activities.

The Supply Chain Planning Manager will monitor and oversee system-wide customer demand, working with Account Teams to understand and address significant changes to demand from new business wins, losses, and organic growth. The Supply Chain Planning Manager will also continuously monitor PPK US capacity and utilization projections, and direct efforts across the Supply Chain org (especially Customer Service and Materials Management) to ensure operational continuity as demand and capacity change. Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead the PPK US Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) Process, ensuring consistent alignment between the business' Supply and Demand positions at all times.

  • Conduct monthly plant-level and quarterly division-level reviews, with responsibility for all information that feeds into and out of the S&OP process.

  • Ensure documentation and follow-through of action items at the Plant, Customer, and Division level, and provide clear visibility to the Supply Chain and PPK US Leadership Teams of any required actions, decision points, or potential conflicts on an ongoing basis.

  • Provide leadership to the Analyst team responsible for gathering and analyzing Demand and Supply information to feed into the S&OP Process.

  • Support and facilitate information and data gathering for the S&OP process, including ownership of the Sales Forecast (in OneStream), growth outlook data (Salesforce), and plant- and process-level capacity projections (Sisense).

  • Foster continued learning and development for team members, with a focus on building a deeper understanding of our customer base and our Commercial and Manufacturing processes.

  • Serve as liaison between Supply Chain and Commercial Org for new business plant loading decisions.

  • Lead conversations with Commercial Teams (esp Sellers and Sales Leaders) to understand details on, and requirements for, new business in the Sales Funnel, to facilitate effective decision-making on Manufacturing Plant selection for all new business.

  • Ensure plant loading decisions for new business are communicated effectively and understood by all stakeholders, including Sales, Product Development, Pricing, Manufacturing, Materials Management, and Strategic Sourcing, among others.

  • Serve as the Point Person within the US Supply Chain and Operations Orgs to the New Business Onboarding Process.

  • Coordinate with Commercial teams on timing and details of all key onboardings and communicate details internally across functions.

  • Identify any resource constraints for new business activity to highlight concerns with overloading any individual plants with new business activity, including trials, scale-ups, and graphics processes as needed.

  • Coordinate with CX Team on any enhancements to our Customer Onboarding process needed to support operational performance and data integrity within the S&OP process.

  • Provide leadership and oversight from an S&OP perspective over the team's critical Information Systems, including the Sisense S&OP Dashboards and Master Data, the OneStream Sales Forecast, and Salesforce Opportunity data.

  • Proactively identify improvements as needed and engage with IT and Finance Technology teams to improve and evolve systems.

  • Coordinate with other PPK US functions to ensure S&OP information is captured and used within other key operating processes, such as Workforce Planning (HR), Preventative Maintenance / Equipment Optimization (Mfg), Materials Procurement / Strategic Sourcing (Sourcing), and Financial Forecasting (Finance)

  • Provide analytics expertise to the Supply Chain organization, especially to the Materials Management and Customer Service teams via Sisense reporting, scorecarding, and ownership of the Forecast Analytics platform.

  • Provide analytics support to the Commercial Teams as needed, especially for customer-facing demand/capacity reviews and other ad-hoc requests.

  • Provide Supply-Demand Analytics to the PPK US Leadership Team and cross-functional leaders.

  • Develop and distribute analytics based on PPK's various demand and capacity signals, including Division, Plant, and Process-level demand and utilization outlooks, Forecast Accuracy and Volatility metrics, analysis of key forecast changes, and other supply/demand information relevant to the business.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Experience in supply chain, manufacturing or business analytics field; relevant Printpack experience preferred

  • Knowledge and understanding of Printpack US's business, especially our Commercial and Operations Planning / Customer Service processes; understanding of external best practices in S&OP / Capacity / Demand management; collaborative team member skilled at influencing across a diverse organization; deep expertise in Excel, JD Edwards, Sisense
