Clinical Technician 1 - Outpatient Clinic Inova Cares for Families

The Inova Cares for Families clinic in Annandale is looking for a dedicated Clinical Technician to join our team. This role will be full time, Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm. Candidates must be able to attend a paid 6 week training period.

Job Responsibilities

• Assists in processing of medication orders under supervision of Registered Nurse.

• Demonstrates competency in all required clinical skills and technologies in accordance with Inova Health System policies and procedures.
• Completes assigned patient duties within the established time frame.
• Demonstrates knowledge of growth and development in providing care for the patient population assigned.
• Completes necessary documentation accurately and reinforces discharge teaching and home care skills.
• Communicates changes in patient status to the Registered Nurse in a timely manner.
• Partners with Registered Nurse to create a professional development plan to provide employee with the necessary skills to deliver up to date patient care.
• May perform additional duties as assigned.

Shift: 8:30am-5:00pm
Schedule: Monday-Friday
Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6-week training period, including virtual training sessions, classroom training days in Falls Church, VA, and shifts on the unit.

Clinical Technician Minimum Requirements:

• Experience: Healthcare experience preferred.
• Education: High School graduate or equivalent.
• Certification: BLS within 90 days of hire (from the American Heart Association).
• Training: Candidate must be able to attend a 6 week training

• Healthcare experience preferred
