Mission

Enable the business to deliver its sales targets in the short, medium and long term, by having our company's product strategy properly deployed with the respective customers and being the main Application Engineering Contact from Nidec and its customers, as well as enabling the business growth by mapping trends and customers' needs that can be provided by our product lineup, maximizing our value proposition by providing local application labs structure as well as the high standard of our application engineering hard and soft skills as problem solvers to our customers.

Responsibilities

1.Approve and Implement changes in our products with customers with expected quality and according to the timeline, without putting at risk their products.

2.Support customers in their own developments by suggesting the most optimal compressor according to their application, to assure optimal performance for them and best margin for our company too.

3.Weekly face to face follow up projects to guarantee success in both companies.

4.Alignment between Customers and R&D to guarantee success in future Project Developments.

5.Optimize samples process between Customer and Nidec to guarantee that the priorities from both are aligned.

6.Identify development opportunities by getting feedback from Customer, Application & Market, which supports new trends focus on our Technological leadership.

7.Identify new business opportunities by having knowledge of plans and future projects that are relevant for our customers that will increase our market share.

8.Give support for other areas of the company such as Sales, Quality, and Cooling so it would be possible that together we achieve the best results that are expected by Nidec and its customers.

9.Support on site QA issues and TDA with customers.

10.Support on site improvement ideas with customers (QA, Process continuous improvement, cost reduction, new designs, etc.) on a regular basis.

11.Support customers with Innovative ideas for their Products while seeking Nidec's interests.

12.Understand customer Portfolio and strategy by having frequent meetings on their sites and use this strategy to protect our market share.

13.Coordinate with Production and QA the requested pilot runs to guarantee the compliance of requirements and success in customer approval.

14.Realize critical analysis of customer approval plan to optimize this process and implementation.

15.Represent internally the interests of customers by delivering an optimal service that complies with their expectations and that can be a base of a mutual confidence relationship.

16.Guarantee the efficient use of economic resources in the company, according to Nidec policies and with this contribute to the achievements of objectives.

17.Support customer Quarterly reviews to achieve maximum R&D performance and exceed their expectation

18.Learn competitor's strengths and weaknesses.

19.Travel for Business: Travel to accounts and new OEMs to develop and keep up commercial business.

20.Heavy Travel: Expect to travel about 50% of the time to Nidec and customer sites, especially in the NAR region, plus places like Brazil, Slovakia, and China as needed.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
7+ years of experience.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to travel up to 50% of the time.
