Job Scope

ThisFacilities Associate II, will be responsible to assist in maintaining commercial properties by self-performing minor to moderate maintenance duties, including scheduled and unscheduled events to support a customer-service and quality oriented facilities operation.

Key Duties and Responsibilities



  • Promptly respond to assigned service tickets related to minor-moderate facilities maintenance
  • Electrical maintenance as allowed without a license within state law requirements (e.g. repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets. Replace light bulbs, ballasts and sockets)
  • Routine painting or carpentry work (e.g. repair a holes in drywall, paint, replace/repair flooring materials, build/install furniture, white boards, etc)
  • Plumbing repairs (e.g. repair / replace faucets, address clogs, replace toilets)
  • HVAC minor maintenance (e.g. filter replacements, unit resets)
  • Respond to notifications from automated environmental monitoring system
  • Program card access badges for site personnel.
  • Ensure that parking areas, walkways, stairways, entryways or other high traffic areas are safe and clear of debris, leaves, snow/ice or other items that may prevent hazards to site personnel. This may involve picking up trash, removing trash/debris, sweeping, blowing leaves/snow, or power washing as appropriate.
  • Assist with projects such as reconfiguring buildings, moving office space, and other light facilities functions. Assemble and move furniture, equipment and other items as needed
  • Follow all internal SOPs to ensure compliance to all applicable local, state and federal regulations.
  • Communicate to internal customers on the status of requests/projects.
  • Create requisitions within electronic ERP system as assigned
  • Ability to be on a rotating "on call" list for emergencies
  • Provide support for new projects which the department is assigned
  • Perform other duties as assigned or necessary
  • Identify and report issues that affect safety, security or building aesthetics
  • Other duties as assigned



Education, Experience, and Qualifications



  • H.S. Diploma required
  • Associate's Degree Associate's degree in related field and/or technical or trade certification preferred or


  • 1+ Years Demonstration of advanced formal training in trades and/or maintenance. (OTJ or classroom is acceptable) required
  • 2+ Years Related experience (facilities or mechanical maintenance) required
  • 3+ Years Competency with computer software use including word processing, spread sheet preparation preferred


  • Basic knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Ability to plan and manage work under time constraints, without direct supervision.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Superior customer service skills and orientation.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize work and balance multiple projects and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work flexible schedule.
  • Must be ambitious to learn and develop
  • Ability to interpret or work from sketches, building plans, specifications and oral or written instructions.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve, rationalize, trouble-shoot and mitigate/manage obstacles as they arise
  • Advanced hands-on experience with basic hand tools.
  • Intermediate proficiency in MS Office programs (including Outlook, Word, Excel) as well as ability to learn daily proficient use of electronic ticket system, maintenance tracking systems and ERP system.
