Job Description

Position Overview

We're looking for a friendly, motivated Junior Help Desk Technician to be the first point of contact for IT support across our company. This entry-level role is perfect for someone early in their IT career who enjoys helping people solve tech problems and wants to grow their skills in a Microsoft-centric environment.

You'll work with Windows devices, Microsoft 365, basic networking, and user accounts - all while learning from experienced IT professionals.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide Tier 1 help desk support to end users via phone, email, and in-person
  • Assist with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, OneDrive, SharePoint) support
  • Perform password resets and account unlocks in Azure AD / Microsoft 365
  • Help create/disable user accounts and assign access rights
  • Troubleshoot basic Windows issues (Windows 10/11)
  • Assist with printer/scanner setup and support
  • Log, track, and update support tickets in our help desk system
  • Escalate complex issues to higher-level IT staff
  • Help set up new computer hardware and software
  • Keep inventory of IT assets and equipment

Who You Are

Required Skills & Traits:

  • Basic comfort with computers, Windows OS, and productivity software
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn IT concepts and tools
  • Organized and detail-oriented

Nice to Have (Not Required):

  • Familiarity with Microsoft 365 admin tools
  • Basic networking knowledge (DNS, DHCP, IP)
  • Experience with remote support tools
  • IT certifications (CompTIA A+, Microsoft Fundamentals, etc.)

Education & Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Some college or IT coursework preferred
  • 0-1 years experience in IT help desk or support role - we welcome recent grads and career changers!

For informational purposes only, the range of pay for this role is $21.00 to $26.25 US Dollar (USD) Hourly based on a variety of factors. For informational purposes only, this role is eligible to participate in the Company's Quarterly Cash Bonus Plan, paid out at the quarterly bonus factor of 1X the Company's bonus multiple, based on the Company's performance in the applicable quarter . Employees will receive 80 hours paid time off every year. Employees will also receive 10 paid holidays. Employees (and their families) are eligible to participate in the company's medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance. Employees are eligible to enroll in the Company's 401(k) plan.
