Fabrication Coordinator

The Stellantis Product Design Office (PDO) is seeking a highly motivated and detail oriented Fabrication Coordinator to support the development and execution of high quality 3 dimensional properties. These properties are produced at an exceptionally high level of craftsmanship and are used for executive decision making, consumer research clinics, media events, and various internal evaluation needs.

This role requires close collaboration with internal fabrication teams, external suppliers, engineering partners, and design stakeholders. The successful candidate will play an integral role within the fabrication team-identifying and assigning appropriate build resources, overseeing build quality, monitoring progress, and ensuring cost compliance throughout project execution.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:



  • Coordinate fabrication activities across internal and external resources.
  • Evaluate and assign fabrication suppliers based on capability, timing, and quality requirements.
  • Oversee the execution and quality of 3D property builds.
  • Manage project budgets, timelines, and supplier deliverables.
  • Facilitate strong communication between design, engineering, and fabrication teams.


Critical Skills Required:



  • Extensive knowledge of internal, local, and remote fabrication resources, including vendors and suppliers
  • Strong understanding of external suppliers, their capabilities, and their specific strengths and limitations
  • Comprehensive knowledge of materials, their ideal applications, and interactions with other materials
  • Thorough understanding of finishing processes, finish creation, and expected final appearance
  • Basic understanding of vehicle structure, chassis systems, and suspension fundamentals
  • Basic understanding of drivetrain and propulsion systems, including both electric and internal combustion engines

Basic Qualifications:



  • HS Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in fabrication program management
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in email and messaging platforms
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite


Preferred Qualifications:



  • 10 years of experience in fabrication program coordination
