Serves as supplier and purchasing consultant to regional hospitals and clinics. Ensures contract compliance and correct pricing for all purchases. Provide pharmacy administration with monthly financial, purchasing and issues reports. Interacts with pharmaceutical representatives to ensure adequate service levels. Researches short supply items, finding alternative sources and obtains emergency pharmaceuticals when required. Communicates with pharmacy staff on availability of pharmaceuticals. Processes all drug recalls and checks stock for recalled items. Responsible for adherence to the Department Compliance Plan for Controlled Substances. Reviews wholesaler reports for unpaid invoices. Tracks invoices with Accounts Payable. Conducts complete inventories of stock, completes reports Oversees the return of pharmaceuticals to reverse distributors. Perform other functions as required.
