ROLE OVERVIEW:

This is a seasonal position, you can use your winters off to travel, hunt, fish or for other activities you enjoy while your benefits continue year round.

This position is responsible to open new or existing sites and prepare for aggregate extraction and stockpiling, then restore site after extraction operation is completed.

Typical schedule is eleven days on from 6:00 AM - 6:00 PM followed by three days off.

DUTIES AND/OR RESPONSIBILITIES (summary of components that make up the job)



  1. Perform daily equipment, walk around and site inspections to identify and correct any unsafe conditions and keep equipment properly maintained
  2. Safely and proper perform maintenance (lubricating, fueling, and cleaning) on bulldozer
  3. Safely and properly operate bulldozer
  4. Construct drain field and ditches as needed
  5. Prepare site for aggregate mining and stockpile millings and other aggregate products for the plants
  6. Recover submerged aggregate
  7. Cover fabric on job sites
  8. Maintain strong customer relations with managers, supervisors, pit owners, coworkers and other customers
  9. Communicate effectively (verbal, listening, written). Self-motivated, team-player with good interpersonal skills: ability to maintain positive customer relations and act courteous/respectful of others.
  10. Troubleshoot and problem solve situations/problems (material quality, equipment operation/repair, etc.) Monitor and discuss production problems with coworkers and managers/supervisors
  11. Ensure MSHA, OSHA, EPA, DNR, safety and environmental regulation compliance.
  12. Performs other duties as assigned.


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS (minimum educational, experience, or other relevant job requirements



  1. General education, grammar and arithmetic, GED or high school diploma or equivalent
  2. 5 years equipment maintenance and operation
  3. Ability to provide and maintain proper licensure, medical card and acceptable driving record.
