Job Description

A Material Review Board Engineer job with Belcan Engineering Group is currently available in Seattle, WA. This job is a full-time direct position. To be considered for this role, you will need Bachelor's Degree in Engineering. In this job your primary responsibility will be reviewing fuselage, nacelle, and pylon discrepancies and determining acceptability and/or repairability. You will be expected to train and mentor other engineers and facilitate timely MRB certification for yourself and others on the team.

Job Duties:
* Formulate, analyze, substantiate, and document dispositions for production non-conformances within the boundaries of Federal Aviation Regulations and OEM delegated requirements
* Liaison with other teams as required and interact with OEM customers
* Maintain strong communication with internal project team and customer
* Provides functional guidance to less experienced staff and act in a technical leadership capacity
* Helps solve problems that would affect cost, schedule, and performance

Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, Aeronautical, Astronautical, Chemical or Aerospace Engineering
* 2 or more years of experience performing engineering tasks on airframes
* Understanding of structural load paths and failure modes
* Static and fatigue analysis experience
* Legal authorization to work in the US required
* Specific experience with Boeing 737, 767 and 777 models highly desirable
* Familiarity with metallic repair and rework methodologies preferred
* Understanding of aircraft structures analysis, manufacturingprocesses, and materials

Preferred:
* Interpersonal skills and willingness to work in a team environment
* Strong verbal and written communication skills
* Mentoring experience
* Previously Held MRB Authority within the last 2 years.
* 2 or more years' experience substantiating Material Review Board discrepancies to substantiate nonconforming conditions

Compensation:
We provide a competitive pay and benefits package. This position is offering a salary rate of $90,000 to $120,000 however, Belcan considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to education, experience, geographic location, and discipline. Benefits offered may include health care, dental, vision, life insurance; 401(k); education assistance; paid time off including PTO, holidays, and any other paid leave required by law.'
