CHA Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Junior Inspector to join our Construction Inspection Team in Ridgeland, SC, where you'll support the delivery of transportation construction projects by observing field activities, documenting progress, and helping ensure work meets established standards and specifications. In this role, you'll collaborate with experienced professionals, gain exposure to impactful projects, and build a strong foundation for long term growth-all while contributing to CHA's mission of responsibly improving the world we live in.



What You'll Do:

    Observe and monitor the construction activities on highways, as well as other structures and facilities, for compliance with plans, specifications, and quality standards
  • Record field observations, measurements, and computations to verify work performed
  • Prepare clear, detailed reports and maintain accurate project records
  • Coordinate or conduct quality assurance testing, inspections, and surveys


What You Bring:

  • High School Diploma required; Associate's degree in Engineering Science, Construction Management, or related field preferred
  • No prior experience required; prior construction or observation experience a plus
  • Ability to read and understand construction plans and specifications; knowledge of construction techniques
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook)
  • Strong math, communication, and teamwork skills
  • Valid driver's license required with ability to travel

Salary Range:

$22.50 - $27.50

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
